Vicky Kaushal's Bhoot Gets A New Release Date Just One Week After It's First Official Announcement
Vicky Kaushal’s horror drama Bhoot Part 1 The Haunted Ship gets a new release date. Dharma Production confirmed the new date on their official Twitter handle today. Directed by debutant Bhanu Pratap Singh it also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role
Just a week ago, a spine chilling poster of Vicky Kaushal’s horror flick titled Bhoot Part 1 The Haunted Ship was released. Vicky was seen trying to escape the claws of a ghost who is clinging onto him in an abandoned ship but in vain. The poster carried the release date of November 15, 2019, earlier, but now the makers have pushed the movie’s release to 2020. Dharma Productions took it to their official Twitter handle announcing the new release date, which is now February 21, 2020.
“The tides are changing...Fear sets sail towards you on a new date. #Bhoot : Part One - #TheHauntedShip in cinemas on 21st February, 2020.”The caption was accompanied by an old poster of the movie where one can witness Vicky screaming out of fear as evil claws hold on to his jaw. On September 5, the actor sharing a working still from the movie had announced of wrapping up the film on his Instagram handle. In his caption he also mentioned how this flick helped him overcome many of his fears and him being ready to spook his audience now.

The reason to postpone the release of this horror flick is the change of the release date of Bala. Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar is set to release on November 15, 2019, hence the KJo didn’t want it to clash with his film and as a result, into each other’s share of the business.
Vicky Kaushal’s performance in URI: The Surgical Strike opened gates for the actor to experiment with his roles and become one of the actors on the director’s wishlist.
